About the Shop
The weather in Boston, a.k.a, “America’s Walking City”, is very unpredictable. And dry. Two things kinky hair HATES. That’s why at Walk City Locs & Braids, we got you covered. From starter locs, to extensions, to The Big Chop (if you’re ready for it) we have stylists to keep you lookin fresh.
Certified loctician, Linda, had been styling locs as a side gig for 5 years. After getting laid off in 2010, she decided to pursue her passions and open up her own shop, which would become Walk City Locs & Braids.
Fast forward to 2017 and Walk City Locs has two locations (Nubian Square in the Roxbury neighborhood, and in Dorchester) and four full-time stylists, including co-owner, Kwame.

Each location has a certified loctitian to start or revive your locs–whatever stage you’re at on your journey.
